MM Rubbish Clearance removed renovation waste from outside a shop on Middlesex Street, the Petticoat Lane market street between Liverpool Street and Aldgate, E1. Two operators loaded old wall boards, empty tubs and paint tins, boxes, bagged rubbish and old fittings from the kerb into our caged van, and most of the load was recycled. The first photo was taken at 8:39am and the van was loaded and the pavement clear by 9:09am.
We do, for shops, cafés and other small businesses between Liverpool Street and Aldgate. On Middlesex Street the shop owner had put the waste from a renovation out at the kerb, ready to go.

Anything left over from stripping out or redecorating a shop. Here that meant old wall boards and panels, empty adhesive tubs and paint tins, packaging and boxes, black bags, foam, timber offcuts and old fittings. It's a mixed load: part builders' waste, part shop clearance.
Mixed loads like this go in one collection. You don't need to sort it into separate piles before we arrive.
Yes, if you pick the right day and time. Middlesex Street is part of Petticoat Lane Market, which Tower Hamlets Council runs on Sundays from 9am to 3pm. The numbered red boxes painted on the road mark out the market pitches. On weekdays the market is round the corner on Wentworth Street, from 8am.
This collection was on a Friday, early in the morning, so there were no stalls on Middlesex Street and the street was quiet. That meant our two operators could load straight from the pavement and get the van away quickly. For a Sunday job here, plan around the market instead.

The load was taken to a licensed waste transfer station, and most of it was recycled. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier). Businesses must keep their waste transfer notes, so the note is your record that the waste was handled legally.
About 30 minutes on this job. The before photo was taken at 8:39am and the van was loaded, with the pavement clear, by 9:09am.
