Cardboard Box Removal on Russia Row, EC2V – Moving Boxes Cleared From a City Flat Near Bank

MM Rubbish Clearance cleared a large pile of cardboard boxes for tenants who had just moved into a flat on Russia Row, off Gresham Street in the City of London, EC2V. Two operators brought the boxes down in the building's lift and loaded them straight into the van, and every box was recycled. Parking was easy, and the corridor was clear about 10 minutes after the first photo.

Who Takes Away Moving Boxes From a Flat in the City?

We do. After a move, the boxes are often the last thing in the way. The tenants on Russia Row had just moved in and had a corridor full of empty moving boxes and furniture packaging they wanted gone.

Before: the moving boxes piled up in the corridor on Russia Row, EC2V, at 7:10pm.

Can Moving Boxes Come Down in the Lift?

Yes, where the building allows it. Here the lift made the job quick: our two operators loaded the boxes into the lift, brought them down and carried them out to the van. Nothing had to be carried down the stairs.

Big furniture boxes take up a lot of room even when they're empty. Flattening or nesting them where we can means fewer trips in the lift and less time in the building's shared areas.

What Happens to Moving Boxes After Collection?

The load was collected within the City of London and taken to a SUEZ recycling facility, where all of the cardboard from this job was recycled. Clean, dry boxes like these are one of the easiest things to recycle. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).

How Long Does a Cardboard Box Collection Take?

About 10 minutes on this job. The before photo was taken at 7:10pm and the after photo at 7:20pm. An evening collection meant the tenants didn't have to live with the boxes for another day.
