Rubbish Removal in Chelsea SW10 – Lower-Ground Flat, Fawcett Street

MM Rubbish Clearance collected a small load of household waste from a lower-ground-floor flat on Fawcett Street, just off Finborough Road in Chelsea SW10. The load was mostly empty wooden wine crates, with a hard-shell suitcase and a flat board, all left in the paved area at the front of the flat, below street level.

The Clearance and Access

Although the load itself was light, the main challenge was the level. Everything sat in the flat’s front area, below the pavement, so every crate had to be carried up the steps to street level before it could be loaded. That is an extra handling stage a ground-floor collection does not have, and on streets of lower-ground flats like this part of Chelsea it is the first thing we plan.

Parking helped. We found an on-street space close to the house, so the carry from the top of the steps to the vehicle was short. On-street parking in Chelsea is controlled, so where the vehicle can stand is settled before loading starts. The Result

The front area was cleared in a single visit, once the stair carry and parking had been planned for. The crates, suitcase and board were removed, and the property’s own wheelie bin was left where it stands. A quick job – but the steps, not the size of the load, decided how it was done.
