Front Room Clearance on Median Road, E5 – One-Way Streets, Rain and a Flight of Stairs in Lower Clapton

MM Rubbish Clearance cleared a front room in a house on Median Road, Lower Clapton, E5, in the rain. The room was up a flight of stairs, the surrounding roads are one-way and we had to park three or four cars down. Two operators used tonne bags to carry the items out, the room was clear about 14 minutes after the first photo, and most of the load was recycled.

How Do You Clear a Room When You Can't Park Outside?

With tonne bags. Median Road and the streets around it are one-way, and parking is tight, so the closest we could get was three or four cars down. Instead of carrying single items back and forth in the rain, our two operators filled tonne bags in the front room, brought them down the stairs and carried them to the van.

Fewer trips meant less time out in the rain going back and forth to the van.

The load was collected within the London Borough of Hackney and taken to a licensed waste transfer station, where most of it was recycled. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).
