Bereavement Flat Clearance on Stonebridge Road, N15 – Furniture Cleared From a Gated Block in Seven Sisters

MM Rubbish Clearance cleared furniture from a flat after a bereavement, in a gated block on Stonebridge Road, N15, next to Seven Sisters station. Once the gates were opened, two operators drove into the compound, went in through the flat's front door and brought everything out to the van. The courtyard was clear about 21 minutes after the first photo, the sofas were handled as POPs waste and the wood was recycled.

Who Clears a Flat After a Bereavement in Seven Sisters?

We do. Clearing a loved one's home is hard enough, so we keep it simple: you tell us what needs to go, we take it away carefully and leave the place clear. On Stonebridge Road the furniture came out of the flat and into the block's shared courtyard, ready to load.

How Do You Collect From a Gated Block Next to a Busy Road?

Get the gates opened and bring the van inside. The High Road and Seven Sisters Road around the station are busy main roads, so loading from the street isn't practical. Once the gates were opened for us, our two operators drove into the compound and parked inside.

From there we went in through the flat's front door, brought the furniture out and loaded it straight into the van. Nothing had to be carried along the main road.

After: the courtyard on Stonebridge Road, N15, clear at 2:40pm.

What Happens to the Furniture After a Bereavement Clearance?

The load was collected within the London Borough of Haringey and taken to a licensed waste transfer station. The sofa, armchair and other upholstered pieces were handled as POPs waste: upholstered seating may contain persistent organic pollutants, so it's kept separate from general waste and sent for destruction rather than landfill. The wood from the wardrobe and chair was recycled. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).

How Long Does a Bereavement Flat Clearance Take?

About 21 minutes on this job. The before photo was taken at 2:19pm and the after photo at 2:40pm, with the courtyard clear.
