Event Waste Clearance on St Peter's Close, E2 – Called on the Day, Cleared the Same Evening

MM Rubbish Clearance cleared the waste left after an event at St Peter's Organ Works, off St Peter's Close in Bethnal Green, E2. The events manager called us on the day. We sent a van that was already working nearby, and two operatives cleared about three-quarters of a van load from the courtyard in one early-evening visit.

Can You Collect Event Waste on the Same Day You Call?

Often, yes, and this job shows how. The event had finished and the venue needed the courtyard back. The events manager rang us the same day to ask whether we could take the waste at short notice.

Bethnal Green is less than two miles from our base in Islington N1, and one of our vans was already working nearby. That meant we could send it straight over rather than fitting the job into another day. Event waste is bulky rather than heavy: flat cardboard, light display boards, packed-up props and bags. Two operatives loaded it from the courtyard without needing a third person.

What Happens to Event Cardboard, Display Boards and Props?

The load was collected within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and taken to a licensed recycling and waste transfer station. Recyclable materials such as cardboard and timber were separated where possible, as described on our responsible rubbish clearance page. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).

How Long Does It Take to Clear a Venue Courtyard After an Event?

On this job, the before and after photos were taken 18 minutes apart, at 5:53pm and 6:11pm. About three-quarters of a van load went on board, and the courtyard was left clear the same evening. The venue's own folding table stayed where it was, because only the event waste was collected.
