The Clearance and Access

Furniture loads are decided by shape, not weight. A chair, a stool and a wicker sculpture weigh almost nothing between them and will still fill a caged tipper if they go in as they are — legs out, nothing nested. The wicker piece was the awkward one: light, wide, and impossible to stack anything on top of.

So the loading order does the work. Flat panels and boards went up the sides of the cage, the table and chair frames nested into each other, and the sculpture went in last where its shape could not cost any space. It is also why three operatives were on it: with a cycle lane running past the tailgate and the van on double yellows, the load goes in as one continuous run rather than in trips, so the vehicle is stationary for as little time as the job allows. Responsible Disposal

The load was collected within the London Borough of Camden and taken to a licensed recycling and waste transfer station.
