Bed Base Collection on Blackstock Road, N4 – Finding Parking on a Busy Main Road

MM Rubbish Clearance collected a two-piece divan bed base and an upholstered headboard from a ground-floor home on Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park N4, at the Seven Sisters Road end. It was a same-day job for a two-person crew. The only real challenge was finding somewhere to stop on one of the busiest roads in N4.

Can You Collect if There's Nowhere to Park on Blackstock Road?

Parking is the hard part of any job on Blackstock Road. It is a very busy main road close to Finsbury Park, with heavy traffic and very few places to stop. On this job we were lucky and found a space on the road close to the property.

From there it was simple. The pavement is wide, which gave us room to carry both base sections and the headboard out without blocking pedestrians. The home opens straight onto the main road: two or three steps up, then everything on one level, so there were no stairs or tight landings inside. The before and after photos were taken seven minutes apart.

What Happens to a Split Divan Base and Headboard After Collection?

The load was collected within the London Borough of Islington and taken to a licensed recycling and waste transfer station. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued after the collection, under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier). Do I Need to Take the Bed Apart Before You Arrive?

No. The base sections and headboard were collected from where they stood in the room, with the headboard still fixed to the base on its wooden struts. The customer did not need to move anything to the door, and the alcove was left empty.
