MM Rubbish Clearance cleared a coffee shop's storage container in a container market yard on Abbot Street, just off Kingsland Road in Dalston, E8. The van could reach the side road but not the yard, so two operators filled tonne bags inside the container and dragged them across the yard to the van.
We do, including containers in shared yards where several businesses trade side by side. On this job the customer was a coffee shop with a storage container it needed emptying.

Yes, and that was the plan here. Getting to Abbot Street from Kingsland Road was straightforward, but vehicles can't go into the yard where the businesses' containers sit. So the van stayed on the side road.
Inside the container, the two operators loaded the waste into tonne bags, the large woven builders' bags. Tangled cable, loose pipe and small packaging would take dozens of trips by hand. In tonne bags it moved in a few large loads, dragged across the yard floor to the van and lifted on.

The load was collected within the London Borough of Hackney and taken to a licensed recycling and waste transfer station. Cardboard, metal and cable were separated from general waste where possible. A business has a legal duty of care for the waste it produces, so a digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).
Wheelie bins. The tonne bags worked: the before and after photos were taken 40 minutes apart, at 2:31pm and 3:11pm, and the container floor was left clear. But dragging full bags across a yard is hard work. On the next job like this, we'll bring two or three wheelie bins to roll the waste out to the van instead. The steel table, paint tins and boxed stock stayed where they were.
