Renovation Waste Removal on Sayer Street, SE17 – Contractors' Waste Cleared From a New-Build Bin Store

MM Rubbish Clearance removed renovation waste from the bin store of a new-build block on Sayer Street, SE17, between Elephant and Castle and Walworth. Contractors renovating a flat had left their boards, timber, flooring and bags next to the communal bins. With the gates opened for us, one operator parked right by the bin store doors and cleared it in about 17 minutes.

Who Removes Builders' Waste Left in a Bin Store?

We do. Council and communal bin collections won't take building waste, so when contractors leave it by the bins it just sits there. On Sayer Street, the waste from a flat renovation had been stacked in the corner of the block's bin store.

How Do You Get Into a Gated New-Build Block?

Arrange it before we arrive. You can't park on the main road here, so the van has to come into the development. Someone opened the gates for us, and from there we could park right next to the bin store doors, which made the carry very short.

If you're booking for a block like this, tell us who will let us in and where the bin store is. A gate code, a concierge or a phone number for the building manager all work.

After: the bin store on Sayer Street, SE17, clear at 12:45pm.

Where Does Renovation Waste From a Flat Go?

The load was collected within the London Borough of Southwark and taken to a licensed waste transfer station, where builders' waste is separated. Anything that can be recycled, such as timber, boards, metal and cardboard, is recycled, and only what can't be recycled goes to landfill. A digital Waste Transfer Note was issued under our Environment Agency registration CBDU418527 (Carrier Dealer – Upper Tier).

How Long Does a Bin Store Clearance Take?

About 17 minutes on this job. The before photo was taken at 12:28pm and the after photo at 12:45pm, with the bin store floor clear.
