The Clearance and Access

Two things make an office clear-out different from a house, and both are in these photographs. The first is the floor. That is herringbone parquet in a period building — not a surface anything gets dragged across. Fifteen full bags go out carried, two at a time, along internal corridors to the lift, and the after photograph is the check on whether that was done properly.

The second is what was in the bags. Old branded uniforms and used safety boots are not ordinary office waste. Workwear carrying a company's name is not something to leave loose in an open skip, and used PPE has no reuse value — so the bags went out sealed and straight onto the vehicle rather than being opened and sorted on site. Responsible Disposal

The load was collected within the London Borough of Camden and taken to a licensed recycling and waste transfer station. The Result

The meeting room was clear in a single visit, with the parquet unmarked and the client's own furniture untouched. Everything went out through the building to the lift rather than past the front of it, which in a shared period building matters to the other tenants as much as it does to the client.
